In regards to
Benoit Chartier is a Quebec painter interested in the elements of the rural landscape that surrounds him. His work combines small plein air paintings with some larger studio formats.
He keeps looking for old trees, big rocks, large fields and messy backyards, but continues to find several of his subjects near his home in Varennes.
Since 2018, Benoit has been represented by the Champagne et Paradis gallery in Kamouraska.
At this same gallery, he participated in two collective exhibitions: Ombre diurne et réverbère as well as Bouleau blanc et encre noire, presented respectively in May and October 2019.
