Works on papers 2015-2017
Even if I have been painting for years, it was only in 2015 that I started painting en plein air.
I don't know why I waited so long before taking my easel out of the studio. From the very start, each painting session was a renewed pleasure. This persuaded me to undertake in 2017 my first painting trip to the Côte Nord of Québec, certainly one of the best experiences of my life.
In addition to my first outdoor trials, this page brings together other studio works, all done on 100 lb acid-free Bristol paper. It is a support that I particularly like and which offers a very different painting experience compared to a gessoed panel. The spontaneity of a work on paper is second to none.
